The name for this blog is Show Up and Lead. This was taken as a result of a conversation I had over lunch. I was discussing a business with my regular CEO consultant when he said that as a first step management should show up. He meant this figuratively and literally. The managers at the business in question frequently came in late and left early. In doing so they were not setting a good example.

In addition to a spotty attendance record these managers also either abdicated decisions or changes their mind on a whim. Both instances left the staff confused. Employees want to be lead hence the idea for Show Up and Lead.
